    Lead Elevator Mechanic

    Licensed in 21 states.

    Head Mechanic Bob Stirk started his Alimak journey in the 1990s after selling his Connecticut-based auto repair shop to travel for the company and perform lead troubleshooting, installation, and repair services for customers worldwide.

    After 17 years as a non-union elevator mechanic, he joined IUEC to learn and execute the elevator trade. Throughout his 33-year career, he installed, removed, repaired, serviced, and modified elevators and hoists.

    In 2022 he helped aspiring entrepreneur and daughter Cindy Stirk open the elevator and hoist company now known as Tri-State Elevator & Hoist LLC.

  • CRAIG SWITZER

    Elevator Mechanic

    Craig is a fourth-generation tradesman from Middlesex County, NJ, who graduated from Universal Technical Institue with a degree in Diesel Technology and spent many years working on high-end luxury and highway/off-road vehicles.

    In 2016, he decided to expand his skill-set by training across the US and Canada to gain experience in operating FRACO hoists and mast climbers, which led to his success across the northeast as an expert in FRACO equipment installation and repair.

    Craig joined IUEC Local 91 in 2020 and has been mentored by Bob Stirk since.

    Owner

    Connecticut native Cindy Stirk began her business journey studying at Naugatuck Valley Community College.

    In 2022, under the guidance of elevator repair services veteran, former business owner, and father Bob Stirk, Cindy opened the elevator and hoist company now known as Tri-State Elevator & Hoist LLC.

    Today she's pursuing her doctorate's in business administration at Charter Oak state college. The proud female business owner is passionate about driving enterprise growth and becoming a trusted industry leader.
